Home-made Fried Chicken {and dipping sauces}

I’m a city girl all the way.
And like every big-town girl I know a lot about street food.
And one of my guilty pleasures is fried chicken… but I prefer making them myself.

First I remove the skin because it’s simply too fat. I even have a light version of it for the days when you have to be careful. But to be honest I prefer the normal (deep-fried) version which keeps to chicken moist.
There are a lot of funny things to do with the dips as well. I like trying new ideas and come up with new flavours and spices…
These days I feel like going away so I made 3 travel-inspired dips:

- First the US with a Country style fried chicken (using wholemeal flour and oatmeal) and its all American Coca Cola dip… Hell yeaaah!
- Middle East fried chicken, full of spices and served with a tahini sauce.
- Finally the Indian style: full of curry to give you a spicy kick in the mouth and served with a sweet mango sauce to cool yourself down.

You can find a print out of the chicken recipe and the dips here
